After working with his father and grandfather, James Spees formed Rapid Packaging Corporation to specifically meet the quality and service requirements that large, integrated folding carton manufacturers were not meeting. Because of that focus, Rapid began to work in the healthcare sector in the early 1960’s. Rapid Packaging specifically grew with several Michigan pharmaceutical companies that were focused on ethical pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Continuing with its roots, present day Rapid Packaging applies decades of experience to meet the current needs of pharmaceutical and medical device companies alike. Additionally, it uses the same quality requirements of the healthcare industry to be a trusted supplier of food manufacturers and consumer products companies alike.
Thomas Spees started Wolverine Carton in Grand Rapids, MI.
James R. Spees started Rapid Packaging Corporation to be the right-size company to service small to midsize companies that required high attention to service and quality.
Rapid Packaging established itself as a preferred supplier of world leading pharmeceutical manufacturers.
Rapid Packaging moved into its current facility to further cement its status as a quality driven, customer focused folding carton manufacturer.
For over 100 years and 5 Generations, the Rapid Packaging family continues the tradition of packaging excellence.
